💼 Let’s get down to business magic! ✨

Becoming a Kitchen Witch

The kitchen has always been the most powerful room in the house.

Women have been practicing witchcraft in the kitchen for centuries, long before the word “witch” existed. Herbs, teas, soups, and meals have carried medicine and magic for as long as humans have been on Earth, and these practices have been passed down through generations in the form of recipes, medicinal knowledge, and rituals.

How many times has the story been told to you of a witch stirring her cauldron of potions, adding herbs in, while chanting an incantation? These stories are rooted in real cooking, baking, and creating medicine with herbs and tools that are sitting in your kitchen right now.

You Don’t Need to Be a Culinary Expert to Learn Cooking Magic

You don't need to love cooking, be good at it, or have a family member who taught you a recipe. It works whether you cook every day and night, order takeout, or burn toast. The magic is not based on your skill level; it resides in your intention, your energy, and your willingness to use your power.

The Kitchen Was Never Just the Kitchen

The kitchen or the hearth is the place where fire meets ingredients, and it was used for medicine, ritual, or gathering people around the table.

You have felt versions of this before: a gut instinct while stirring a pot, or a pull to make soup for someone you love who wasn’t feeling well. And you probably acted on your instinct without even fully realizing that you were casting magic.

What Kitchen Witchcraft Looks Like in Business, Work, and Life

Here's one example:

Thyme was carried by travelers and soldiers for courage, confidence, and strength, a practice dating back 2,000 to 2,500 years. Ancient Roman soldiers bathed in thyme infusions before marching into battle, and thyme was used to disinfect battle wounds.

For you: Steep thyme as tea before experiencing something that scares you, like a hard call or a room full of people, and drink it slowly while you visualize yourself succeeding.

Here's another:

Eggs have symbolized new beginnings, rebirth, and creation for over 4,000 to 5,000 years in ancient cultures across the world, long before they appeared in modern cartons.

For you: Hold an uncracked egg in both hands and state your intention for new launches, career moves, or business ventures. When you crack the egg and cook it, visualize the magic of that intention being absorbed into your body as you eat it.

Eggshells have also been used to make cascarilla powder, which is used for protection. To make this, save your eggshells, ensuring the membranes are fully removed and the shells are clean. Then leave the eggshells to completely dry.

Once dry, use a mortar and pestle or coffee grinder to crush the eggshells into a fine powder. This powder can be sprinkled in a line across the doorway of your home, office, or on the four corners of your desk. Set your intention that your magic and energy are protected from negative energy, demanding people, or situations that you wish to remove yourself from.

And one more:

Using rosemary for memory and for the mind dates back to around 500 B.C. In ancient Greece, students and scholars wove wreaths of fresh rosemary into their hair while studying for or taking exams. The potent aroma helped to awaken the mind, sharpen focus, and enhance memory. This has been supported by scientific evidence, as rosemary contains compounds that directly affect the brain.

For you: Inhale rosemary essential oil (diluted and safely) before working on content or writing a post. Allow your mind to open up to the possibilities of success with your words and writing.

These Practices Can Be Done Now, In Your Very Own Kitchen

None of what is talked about here requires a special trip to a metaphysical shop. It simply requires ingredients you likely already have in your cupboard or pantry, and a willingness to notice what you're doing while you cook, rather than doing it on autopilot.

Here's why this works so well: Kitchen magic is magic you can do immediately, using what you already have on hand in your own home. The magic moves through what you eat, what you touch, and what you say over the pot and pan, and it moves through what you create in your kitchen for you, the people you love, and the energy that you bring to the people you work with.

The Herbs are Not the Solution. They are the Assist.

I want to be honest about what Kitchen Magic is and isn't. An herb will not entirely fix a problem for you. It will not have the hard conversation on your behalf or negotiate the raise. What it does is meet you where you are, steady your hand and mind, and remind you of what you already know how to do in your work, your business, and your life.

Let Me Show You How to Bring Money Magic into Your Kitchen (and Invite You to Go Further)

Knowing that kitchen magic works is one thing. Actually sitting down and doing it is another.

To help businesswomen with their kitchen magic practice, I’ve created The Kitchen Witch Grimoire series over the last several months. Each PDF volume contains ingredients, history, and real spells you can use the same day you read them. The first volume is on Money Magic.

Money Magic walks you through ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen or pantry and how to work with each one to shift and bring in the energy of money and wealth into your life.

Here's what you get:

  • Well-known ingredients and their history, so you understand why they work and not just that they do

  • A spell for each one, ready to use as soon as you open the pages

  • Rituals and teachings on the everyday tools that you use to cook and create your food

Here is the link to grab the PDF for yourself.

If you want to take this work further, I'm teaching kitchen magic in a live Zoom session at my next Business Witch Gathering, Kitchen Magic: Power & Protection. The session is on July 25th. Every attendee walks away with Volume 2 of the Grimoire series completely free.

And if neither of those is the right fit for you today, start Kitchen Magic anyway. Pick one ingredient in your kitchen tonight, hold it, and get to know it while it helps you bring in money, set up a personal boundary, or cook with love. You don't need a book to begin; you just need to start.

I think you'll notice the difference once you do. ✨

And so it is,
Aisha, The Business Witch
