Page 5: How to Cast a Spell for Business that Actually Works
💼 Let’s get down to business magic! ✨
A lot of people think casting a spell means lighting a candle, saying some words, and waiting for something to happen. And when nothing does, they decide that magic is not real, or worse, that it does not work for them.
Here is something most people never stop to think about. You have been working with energy your entire life. Every time you’ve said, "I know this client is going to say yes," and held that feeling in your body as something true, you were directing energy toward an outcome. Every time you walked into a room feeling grounded and clear and watched the conversation open in exactly the direction you needed, that was not luck.
And every time you sat down to write a proposal already convinced it would not land, or talked yourself out of raising your prices before you even sent the email to let people know about it, or refreshed your inbox waiting for a response you already decided was not coming–all of that was energy too. Energy directed just as clearly and just as powerfully, just in the opposite direction.
I am not telling you this to make you feel like you have been doing it wrong. I am telling you because once you see it, you cannot unsee it. And once you cannot unsee it, you have a choice you did not have before.
I also want to be honest with you before we go any further. Magic is not a vending machine. I cannot promise you that what I am about to teach you will hand you a specific result by a specific date. What I can tell you is that it works, that I have seen it work for the women I work with, and that I still practice it myself because this work asks something of all of us.
You will learn a way to direct your energy intentionally and in alignment with what you are building in your business and work. And that changes everything about how the work feels and what becomes possible from it.
What a Spell Actually Is
A spell is an energetic instruction. When you cast one, you are directing your energy and your frequency toward a specific outcome. Spellcraft is ancient, and there are many traditions and many teachers who work with it in their own way. What I bring to this practice is a framework specifically designed for women in business, one that I have developed through years of training, practice, and channeling.
It is built on four parts: desire, intention, action, and outcome.
A spell becomes powerful when you believe in it, when you align your energy with it, when you act in accordance with it, and when you trust the process enough to let it work. That last part is where most women fall off. They cast the spell and then immediately begin doubting it, which is just casting a second spell in the opposite direction. I have done this, and I still catch myself doing it. It is one of the most human things that we do.
You cannot out-strategy a spell you are casting against yourself.
That is exactly why this framework exists: not just to give you a structure for how to cast a spell that works, but to give you something to return to when doubt shows up, because eventually, it will.
The Four-Part Framework
Desire
Desire is where your spell begins. Not what sounds reasonable, and not what feels safe or small enough to believe. Your desire is what you truly, in your heart, want and what is calling to you.
This is the part most women rush past or water down before they’ve even started. We’ve been taught to want carefully, to keep our desires modest so we don’t risk disappointment. But a spell with a timid desire at its center is a timid spell. The emotional power behind your desire is the fuel. The bigger and more honest it is, the more energy you have to work with.
A desire for a wealth and business spell might sound like this: I desire to build a business that creates consistent $50,000-months doing work I love. I desire to be recognized, well-compensated, and invited to speak at engagements as the expert I already am. I desire financial freedom that gives me real choices about how I live and work.
Write yours down before you move to the next step. Be honest about what you actually want.
Intention
If desire is the fuel, intention is the steering wheel. It is the vibrational direction of your spell, the energy you are committing to embody as you move toward what you want.
Your intention is not a goal. A goal sits out in the future waiting for you. An intention lives in your body right now and shapes how you move through every action you take toward that goal. Two women can have the exact same business goal and be casting completely different spells depending on the intention underneath the goal.
For a wealth and business spell, your intention might sound like this: I show up for my business and work from a place of confidence and trust in what I have built. I intend to call forward aligned clients and opportunities by being clear and visible about what I offer. I intend to receive payment for my work without apology and without shrinking.
Write your intention and notice how it changes who you are (how you feel in your body) while you are doing this work.
Action
The action step is where you decide what you are willing to do to meet the energy of your spell. It has to be real, and it has to be in alignment with what you are casting for. If you are casting a spell for more clients and your action is to avoid every opportunity to talk about your work, your spell and your behavior are pointing in opposite directions. The Universe follows your energy, and your energy includes what you actually do.
For a wealth and business spell, your action might look like this: I will reach out to 3 potential clients this week. I will post about my offer on social media consistently for the next 30 days. I will send the proposal I have been sitting on. I will have the pricing conversation I have been avoiding. I will talk to my boss about the promotion.
Pick one action that stretches you slightly outside of your comfort zone. That stretch is part of the magic.
Outcome
This is your target. The outcome is the specific, measurable result you are casting for, not vague abundance, and not general success. A real, named outcome with enough detail that you will know without question when it has arrived.
Vague spells produce vague results. The Universe understands specificity. Name the number. Name the date. Mean it.
A specific outcome for a wealth and business spell might sound like this: I book five aligned paying clients by the end of this quarter. I generate $10,000 in revenue this month. I sell out my next workshop with 30 attendees. My team surpasses the Q3 goal within budget.
When you write your outcome, something that may help is to imagine a target in the distance that you are aiming to reach.
Casting Your Spell
Once you have your four parts written out, you are ready to cast. This framework is the foundation of any spell you are working with, whether that is a candle magic spell, an herbal spell, or a ritual with an altar. Always build the desire, intention, action, and outcome first. The physical elements together–the candle, the herbs, or the bowl- are the container that holds and amplifies what you have already set. It does not replace the inner work. It deepens it.
Start by writing your four parts down by hand. Writing is one of the oldest forms of spell casting, and the act of putting your desire, intention, action, and outcome on paper is itself a declaration to the Universe that you mean what you are saying.
Before you cast the spell, remember to ground and protect your energy. Learn how by reading the Grounding & Protection Before Spiritual Work section of this past grimoire page.
When you have all four written, find a quiet moment and speak them out loud. Your voice is a magical instrument. Stating your spell out loud moves it from intention into energy in a way that keeping it in your head will never achieve.
Then close with an activation:
With rooted strength, clear vision, emotional alignment, and courageous action, I call this outcome into reality. And so it is.
Speak it like you mean it, because you do.
Return to your written spell whenever doubt shows up. Read it again, and speak the activation again. Remember that doubt is not a sign that the spell is not working. Instead, it is a sign that you are human. Coming back to your spell is the casting practice that can result in a spell that actually works.
Trusting the Process Is Part of the Spell
This is the part that many people do not talk about. You do the work, write the desire, set the intention, declare the action, claim the outcome, speak the activation, and then you gotta wait. The waiting is where many of us systematically dismantle everything we’ve just built.
Magic does not work on your timeline and it does not send progress reports. Trusting the process means you do your part and then you let the Universe do its part, not once, but every time the doubt returns. That letting go and surrendering to the process is one of the most active and disciplined things this work asks of you.
And yes, sometimes it does not look the way you asked for it. Sometimes the spell works but not in the way you expected (e.g., the client you cast for does not show up, but 3 others do). Sometimes the timing is not right and the spell needs to be recast. But it’s not because you did something wrong. It’s because energy moves in cycles and what you are calling in has its own schedule. And sometimes the outcome you originally asked for was not the right one for you and the magic knows it before you do. What arrived was always better, even when it did not feel that way at first. This has happened to me more times than I can count. I am not promising you that every spell will produce exactly what you wrote down. I am telling you that when you keep casting, keep trusting, and keep acting in alignment with what you are building, things move. Things may not always move on your timeline, or always in the shape you imagined. But they do move.
What Working with the Four-Part Framework Looks Like in Real Life
When I first started My Sacred Bridge, I offered tarot readings and Spirit Guide connections to anyone who would book. But I had no idea how to talk about what I was doing, and honestly, I was not feeling the direction it was taking me. I spent two years trying to force something that did not feel right before I finally stopped and, with the help of the four-part framework, asked myself the hard questions, such as, what am I really doing this work for? Who am I really serving? And what do I actually want?
The rebranding of My Sacred Bridge looked like this:
My desire was to help women in business reach their own version of wealth and success using the tools I had spent years learning.
My intention became the foundation of everything: I teach ancient magic, ritual, and modern business practices to women in business so they can create their own wealth and success.
My action was imperfect and often felt like moving in the dark, but every single day, I did something in the direction of that rebranding, such as writing my offers to reflect my new direction (and rewriting several times, going with my gut, and casting spells to help me through it)
My outcome was this: The Business Witch Grimoire, built specifically for women in business and in careers, built around a practice that is fully mine and fully aligned with who I really am.
The outcome I desired happened over time, not overnight, and it happened because I stopped casting spells of confusion and started casting with real direction.
The Last Thing I Want You to Know
Casting a spell is a practice and muscle memory, not a one-time event. You will cast it and then forget it; you will doubt it, have a bad week, and wonder if any of this is real. Here’s the kicker: that is not the spell failing; that is you being human.
Every time you come back to it, every time you reread what you wrote, speak the activation again, or simply pause and remember the energy you committed to, you are strengthening the spell. You are training yourself to hold the frequency of what you are calling in, even when the evidence hasn’t shown up yet. That is the spellcasting work. ✨
