💼 Now let’s get down to business magic. ✨
There is a specific kind of stuck that is different from being lost or confused. You know exactly where you want to go, you can see it clearly, and yet something keeps stopping you from moving: a fear you cannot fully name, a pattern that shows up every time you get close, or a block in your business, your career, or your own mind that has been there so long it has started to feel permanent.
That is an energetic issue, and there is a Guide whose medicine was made for exactly this moment.
Who Ram Is and How He Can Help
Last year, during Aries season, I was sitting with the energy of obstacles, turning over the feeling of knowing what I wanted and being unable to move toward it, when the Ram appeared. He was huge, with giant spiral horns, and he was ready to bust through what no longer served me.
When you work with Ram, that is the energy you are calling on. An unmistakable, undeniable force specifically built for the moment when something that should not be there is standing in your way.
The spiral of Ram's horns carries its own teaching. The spiral is one of the oldest symbols in human history, representing growth through cycles, expansion, and the sacred geometry of nature. Ram moves with accumulated power, coiling inward before releasing outward, which is exactly what a breakthrough looks like in real life: a gathering, then a release.
When to Call on Ram
Ram energy is available whenever you need it. To work with this guide, you do not need to be an Aries Sun sign, or wait for Aries season, or have specific placements in your chart. You call on Ram when you are facing an obstacle in your business or career that has not moved despite your best efforts, when fear is in the driver’s seat where you know it shoudn’t be, when a pattern keeps repeating and you are done letting it repeat, when the Moon is in Aries, when a planet you are working with transits Aries, or when something in you simply recognizes this energy as what you need right now.
Tuesday is the optimal day for this spell. Tuesday is ruled by Mars, Ram's planetary counterpart, carrying the energy of courage, action, and decisive forward movement. And if the obstacle is pressing and Tuesday is four days away, do not wait. Any day you are ready is the right day.
The Shadow Side of Ram Energy
Ram is a powerful Guide, and powerful Guides carry shadow energy that is worth understanding before you cast.
The shadow of Ram energy is force without wisdom, charging through every obstacle without pausing to ask whether it is actually in your way or whether it is a signal worth paying attention to. Some blocks are redirections, and some are information. Ram's medicine is for the obstacles that genuinely do not belong in your path. Before you cast, ask yourself honestly whether this is something you are meant to break through or something you are meant to sit with a little longer. Ram will help you answer that question if you ask.
Your Herbal Allies
Ginger is your fire-starter. It carries the heat and courage of Mars energy and puts immediate momentum behind whatever you are working with. It is the herb of boldness.
Cinnamon is fast-moving and magnetic, one of the most ancient magical herbs in recorded history. It draws success toward you and puts speed behind the work, amplifying the magic that you cast.
Basil holds the business and wealth intention of this spell. It says clearly that breaking through this obstacle is in direct service of what you are building.
Salt is your protection barrier. Sprinkle it in a ring around your spell, creating a clear energetic boundary that holds the space of your spell and keeps it clean while you cast.
The Solar Plexus: Energetic Help from the Body
This spell’s energetic center is in your solar plexus, located in your upper abdomen just above your navel. This is your center of personal power, willpower, and courageous action.
When an obstacle has been sitting in your path for a long time, you will often feel it first. A tightening, or a heaviness that no amount of strategizing seems able to move.
Ram's energy lands directly in this center. As you move through the visualization and the casting, bring your awareness here and notice what shifts. If you want to deepen the connection, place your hand over your solar plexus while you speak the incantation and let the words come from that place.
Your Candle
Choose the color that matches what you need most right now.
Red is the color of Mars, of fire, of forward movement, and is the strongest choice when the obstacle feels immediate, and you need direct, fierce energy to move it.
Orange carries ambition, breakthrough, and the energy of new territory, and works well when the obstacle is tied to a goal you are actively building toward.
Gold is the color of success and of the outcome waiting on the other side of the breakthrough.
The Visualization
Before you cast your spell, meet your Ram Guide.
Find a quiet space and sit with your feet flat on the floor and your hands resting open in your lap. Close your eyes and take three slow, deep breaths, imagining roots spreading from the bottom of your feet into the Earth. Let your body settle and feel the weight of yourself in the chair and the ground beneath your feet.
Now, imagine that you are surrounded by a large ball of protective light. This light can be of any color that is meant for you at this time.
When you feel still, bring your awareness to the space in front of you, as though you are looking out over a wide-open landscape.
When you are ready, ask for your Ram Guide to make himself known. When he presents himself to you, pay attention to what you see. What does he look like? How big is he? What does the environment around you look like?
Now bring your obstacle to mind, and let it take form or shape however it needs to. You may see a shape, feel a sensation, or sense an energy that has been sitting between you and what you want. Sit with this for a moment.
Ask Ram to break the obstacle. Watch Ram lower his head. Watch him move toward that obstacle with everything he is, with absolute certainty that this obstacle is meant to move. Watch the obstacle shatter, and pay attention to what comes into view behind it.
Sit with that image and feel what it’s like to stand in the open space on the other side. Let that feeling settle into your body until it feels real.
When you are ready, take a deep breath and return to the room. Write down immediately what you saw and what you felt. That vision is part of your spell.
The Ram Obstacle-Breaker Spell
This spell comes in two versions. Choose the one that calls to you, or work with both across separate castings.
Before either version, set your altar. Place your candle in the center and sprinkle the herbs (ginger, cinnamon, and basil) in a circle around its base. Then sprinkle a ring of salt around the outside of everything as your protective barrier and light your candle.
Version One: The Paper
Take a piece of paper and write the obstacle on it–not a careful, polished description, but the raw, honest expression of it. Write about the fear, the doubt, the exact thing that has been stopping you, written the way it actually lives in your body rather than the way you would explain it to someone else.
Hold the paper in both hands and say aloud:
Ram, I call on your ancient power. This obstacle does not belong on my path. I am ready to move through it, and I am ready to receive what is waiting on the other side. Break this obstacle open and clear the path. So it is.
Tear the paper into at least three pieces. Then, either safely burn the paper in the candle flame, releasing it completely, or take them away from your home and throw the pieces away somewhere outside. Do not bring it back inside. What you are releasing does not belong in your space.
Version Two: The Stick
Go outside and find a stick on the ground. Do not cut one and do not take one from a living tree. Find one that has already been released, already given back to the Earth, already completed its purpose on the tree.
Now set your candle and altar. Hold the stick in both hands and feel its weight. This stick represents your obstacle. Say aloud:
Ram, I call on your ancient power. This obstacle does not belong on my path. I am ready to move through it, and I am ready to receive what is waiting on the other side. Break this obstacle open and clear the path. So it is.
Then break the stick with intention and with full awareness that what you are breaking is the hold this obstacle has had on you. Feel it snap and let that be a release.
Return the pieces to the Earth somewhere outside your home, placing them on the ground rather than in the trash. You are returning what was never yours to carry. Thank the Earth for receiving it.

Ram breaks the obstacle open. You still have to walk through.
Watch for shifts in the days that follow, keeping in mind that they may look nothing like what you expected. You could have an unexpected conversation. You could make a business decision that suddenly feels easy to make when it had previously felt impossible for months, or you could have a pattern that simply stops repeating.
This spell can be repeated, and if the obstacle has deep roots, cast again. Each casting goes deeper. Trust the process and give it the time it deserves.
A note on fire safety: please work on a heat-safe surface away from anything flammable. Keep a fireproof dish nearby to contain the paper as it burns, and never leave a lit candle unattended. Make sure everything is fully extinguished before you leave your space.
The Medicine
The Ram’s energy is ancient and certain and completely unafraid of what stands in its way.
That energy is available to you, and it has been all along. You called on a Guide who knows exactly what to do with what has been stopping you, and the path to success is already beginning to open. It’s time to walk freely. ✨
